General Setup
General setup covers hotel information, system date, users, user groups, departments, job titles, license, cash register setup, TrackIt, and transportation types.
Hotel Information
Configure property details:
System Date
The system (business) date is the "today" used for reservations, rates, and reporting when different from the real date.
Users
Users are the staff accounts that log in to the PMS. Each user has a username, password, assigned permissions (directly or via a user group), and optional profile details.
User Groups
User Groups define reusable permission sets. Assign a group to a user and they inherit all permissions in that group. This is the recommended way to manage permissions for multiple staff with the same role.
Departments
Departments are used for reporting or access control:
Job Titles
Job titles are used for users or profiles:
License
If the product uses a license or activation:
Cash Register Setup
Cash Registers are the logical registers used for cashier login. Each cashier session is tied to a register. Before using any cashiering screen (Transaction, Cashier Shift, Quick Checkout), a user must log in to a cash register.
Track It — Groups
Track It Groups are the top-level categories for items in the Lost & Found system. Every item registered in Lost & Found must belong to a group.
Track It
Track It is the item-tracking system used for Lost & Found in Housekeeping. It organises items using four reference tables — each has its own configuration page.
Track It — Types
Track It Types are sub-categories within a Track It Group. They describe the specific kind of item (e.g. Phone within Electronics).
Transportation Types
If transportation types are used (e.g. for pickup or guest transport):
Services
Services are additional offerings your property provides to guests — such as airport transfers, laundry, spa, or room service. Configuring services allows them to be selected and tracked in reservations and housekeeping.
Track It — Actions
Track It Actions describe what happened to a lost or found item — the action taken by staff. The Category flag distinguishes between a claim action and a lost/found action.
Track It — Locations
Track It Locations define where a lost or found item was discovered or is being stored. Staff select a location when registering a lost & found item.
